NAAC CERTIFICATION                REPORT OF THE PEER TEAM ON THE INSTITUTIONAL ACCERDITATION OFCHINMAYA DEGREE COLLEGE , HARDWAR                    A Peer team of National assessment and Accreditation Council, headed by Chairperson Dr. K. L. Johar, Member Dr. R.K. Bhel and Member Co-ordinator Dr. Usha  Mukandan, Visited this college on march, 1 and 2, 2004 and examined different departments, labs and various development activities of the college. NAAC is and autonomous organisation, established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 1994. The Prime agenda of the NAAC is to access and Accreditate Institutions of Higher learning with on objective of helping them to work continuously to improve the quality of education. The assessment mainly is based on the following seven criteria: 1.    Co-curricular aspects. 2.    Teaching learning and evaluation. 3.    Research Consultancy and Extension. 4.    Infrastructure and Learning resources. 5.    Student Support and Progression. 6.    Organization and Management. 7.    Healthy Practices. The accreditation status is a valid for a period of five years. The NAAC is also supporting quality sustenance activities in institutions and help in institutions to internalise quality measure in all activities. It is a matter of great pleasure and honour to the college that after sussessful visit to the college by the Peer by the Peer team of NAAC, the Executive committee of NAAC has Accreditated Chinmaya Degree College, Hardwar at the “B” level.
